Pricing and commission pay varies, unfortunately I cannot give you a fixed rate for my work, due to the fact that every piece of work requires a wide variety of time, materials, and effort.

I base my pricing on a few things;

Time – Hours put into a piece reflects the level of work you see in a piece, the more time put into pieces, the possibility the price will increase.

Size – Depending on the size, and or quantity of pieces per order, the prices can vary. I work at all scales, small and large, and materials for canvas and other surfaces (ie: paper, wood, stretched canvas, etc.) vary in price. Ex: When acquiring a large scaled painting, on a wooden board canvas (30×40) the price may certainly be greater than a medium scaled painting, on a stretched canvas (18×24). Size and preference in material matters, when considering the price.

Materials – In order to fulfill your wants and needs for a commissioned piece, I need to have all the correct materials, though I have a lot myself, sometimes what you want, is more specific and not in my current inventory.

Concept – If you are purchasing a piece of artwork that is my conceptual work, it is therefore deemed as intellectual property, and also holds sentimental value. My original conceptual work may be priced hirer than something of your idea that is commissioned.

IMPORTANT: My pieces displayed on the site are fixed prices, nonnegotiable. If you are interested in a commissioned piece, depending on if you want an original of Erin’s work or Erin to make YOUR idea come to life as art, prices will vary. Concept is intellectual property as explained above. If YOU have an idea, chances are your idea will save me some time (and save you some money).

I am always happy to go into detail with the price, I actually encourage it. All of it will be discussed and explained at first point of contact, before any work can start, I want to make sure we are all on the same page, no surprises!

In order to start a commissioned piece, I will ask for a down payment, this will help me purchase materials for your piece and will give me incentive of your commitment to finalizing your purchase once its finished. As explained in the FAQ for pricing, materials must be purchased to fulfill your needs for your commission. Depending on your piece (time, size, material, concept) the down payment can vary.

When completed the commission price will be due, in full. All purchases can be payed in full by PayPal, or check. No other forms of payment will be accepted.
